The recognition highlights Lenovo’s leadership in global supply chain digital transformation. Lenovo’s intelligent and resilient supply chain has always been a core strength of the company, with its global hybrid manufacturing footprint of 35+ factories that together see five devices shipped every second to customers in 180 markets.
By leveraging a suite of digital planning solutions, collaborating with suppliers and customers for the integrated data foundation, and connecting the demand-supply planning with the order fulfillment and execution, Lenovo has optimized its incredibly complex supply chain operations, segmented the supply chain by different customers and offerings, and balanced high customer service level and low inventory for best business results. Lenovo increased its supply-demand forecast coverage rate from 70 to 90%, reduced factory inventories by up to 20%, and increased shipping plan accuracy by 40%. These results also have helped Lenovo achieve a #9 ranking on Gartner’s Top 25 Global Supply Chain for 2022.
Jack Fiedler, Vice President, Digital Transformation, Lenovo said: “In the face of the unprecedented supply chain challenges in the past few years, Lenovo had leveraged intelligent planning solutions well to improve the overall health of its global supply chain and improved customer satisfaction significantly by committing accuracy and timely delivery. We will continue our digital transformation journey through integrating AI models and data driven solutions to further operational excellence across Lenovo.”
