Fanvil Talks Trends as ITEXPO Approaches

12 Dec 2016

The year is coming to a close, so it’s a good time to take stock of what’s happened in the past year, look at some of the important communications and networking trends we’re seeing at the moment, and consider what might be next.

So we thought we’d take this opportunity to touch base with IP phone developer and manufacturer Fanvil Technology Co. Ltd., which will be among the exhibitors at ITEXPO Feb. 8-10 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Fanvil sells Android phones, IP phones, a SIP intercom, and other devices such as lightweight headsets. Here’s what we learned from Rena Lei, who is involved in oversea sales at the China-based company.

APIs are a hot trend. To what extent are you leveraging APIs to enhance business opportunities?

Based on the Android operating system, [we are trying] to build an open application-enabled platform for embedded terminals.

Cloud services are an even bigger trend. To what extent are you using cloud services in your daily business processes?

We use cloud servers to redirect and upgrade our products.

Do you expect to make more use of cloud computing in the coming year?

Yes, we’ll develop more function and enrich more features on our cloud sever.

How has the growth in the managed services market impacted you business?

Managed service brings rapid growth in VoIP deployment and, [in] the meantime, lowers the cost for customers.

What have you been working on in the past year to drive growth at Fanvil?

Based on the development of color display technology, Fanvil released new color screen IP phones, which bring brand new product concepts and strategies for broadening the deployment of IP phones.

How else has Fanvil evolved recently as a result of emerging technologies?

With the rapid deployment of SIP in [the] mobile communication network, the fast growth of IMS in the globe, the embedded VoIP terminal, which is an important part of VoIP system, has achieved a solid growth.

Why should ITEXPO attendees visit your booth in Fort Lauderdale?

Fanvil will bring new VoIP products fully covering our five product lines. [These products provide] rich functions [that] lead to friendly and efficient user experiences.

What are you most looking forward to at ITEXPO 2017?

Introduc[ing] our products to participants and seek[ing] potential business cooperation. Communicat[ing] with experienced people in [the] VoIP field. And try[ing our] best to promote the development of this industry.
