DataRobot, the AI Cloud leader, today announced that Dan Wright has elected to step down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Debanjan Saha, currently President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been appointed Interim CEO. Saha will serve DataRobot in his new role while the Board conducts an internal and external search for a permanent successor. Wright has agreed to serve DataRobot in an advisory role through the transition period.
“I am extremely proud of our team and what DataRobot has accomplished over the last three years,” said Dan Wright. “DataRobot’s best years are ahead of it, and my decision to step down was made easier knowing that we have a visionary technologist of Debanjan’s caliber to guide the company through this next phase.”
“We appreciate Dan’s many contributions during his tenure as CEO and for his willingness to provide continued guidance as an advisor,” said Mark Hawkins, Chairman of the DataRobot Board of Directors. “DataRobot has delivered a decade of innovation and today serves some of the largest and most impactful companies in the world, including a third of the Fortune 50. Debanjan’s leadership and technical expertise make him well suited to guide DataRobot through this transition period and help ensure that we don’t miss a step as we serve our customers and capitalize on the tremendous market opportunity in AI.”
Prior to joining DataRobot as COO, Saha spent twenty years leading multi-billion dollar data and cloud businesses at some of the most successful technology companies in the world, including Google and Amazon Web Services.
“DataRobot is a category-defining company with an incredible product and a growing base of marquee customers, and I am honored to lead this innovative team during such a pivotal time for the AI industry and the company,” said Debanjan Saha. “DataRobot has had a significant impact on our customers under Dan’s leadership, and I look forward to helping the company drive even more value for organizations around the world through the accelerated adoption of AI.”
