The new King I Electronics smart thermostat, designed for both commercial and residential applications, uses Ayla embedded agents for Wi-Fi connectivity and access to the Ayla IoT cloud. The thermostat’s mobile app, designed using Ayla mobile app libraries, allows users to establish automatic constant temperature for multiple times per day, or to adjust temperatures as needed for optimal comfort.
By using the Ayla IoT platform, the King I Electronics smart thermostat can also interoperate with a wide range of connected heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products, such as single-stage heating/cooling systems, hydraulic or electric heaters, and whole-building heating and air-conditioning systems.
“As the world’s leading enterprise-class IoT platform provider, Ayla offers an end-to-end IoT solution that enables products from manufacturers such as King I Electronics to gain rapid access to cloud-based services and to sharpen the competitive edge of our products in the global market,” said David Wan, general manager of King I Electronics. “Product intelligence and the IoT represents the future of thermostatic control, and we are pleased to be able to introduce such an advanced thermostat today.”
“The global hardware manufacturing industry is undergoing a transformation toward IoT-enabled smart products, and Ayla is achieving lots of traction within the HVAC market,” said Phillip Chang, co-founder, vice president and general manager of Greater China for Ayla Networks. “Ayla is committed to helping manufacturers introduce secure, reliable and interoperable connected products as rapidly, cost-effectively and easily as possible.”
